There are so many Medicare benefits and plans to consider, and the decisions you make today can impact your health and finances in the years to come.

Medicare Annual Election Period

October 15 to December 7 is Medicare’s Annual Election Period. This is when you can enroll in new coverage or make changes to your current coverage. During this time, you can:

  • Switch from Original Medicare (Parts A & B) to a Medicare Advantage plan (Part C), or vice versa
  • Switch from one Medicare Advantage plan to another
  • Join, switch or drop a Medicare prescription drug plan (Part D)

This is the time to assess your current coverage and determine if there is a better match for your budget and healthcare needs.

After you’ve done your research and talked with your provider, you can update your coverage between October 15 to December 7 by:

  • Visiting Medicare.gov

Calling 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227)

You can also speak to a broker who can help you shop for the best plan for you!

Annual Medicare Election Period

Annual Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment

During Medicare Advantage open enrollment, you can:

  • Switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan or return to Original Medicare
  • Enroll in a Part D plan if returning to Original Medicare

Only available for Medicare Advantage plan members.
