Take advantage of virtual appointments, offering you the opportunity to interact with a trusted ASAS provider from the comfort of your home or office.
For all virtual appointments, you must be present in a state where your physician is licensed for practicing. If you will not be in Texas at the time of your visit, please confirm with your physician’s office that they are licensed to provide virtual care in your residing state.
Many ASAS providers offer urgent video visits for new or existing patients. Please contact your provider’s office for details.
Virtual visits should not be used as a replacement for emergency care. If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911.
Virtual visits may be available for symptoms and conditions such as sore throat, cough, fever, diarrhea and vomiting, rash, urinary tract infection, conjunctivitis (pinkeye) and other acute symptoms that do not require a standard physical exam.
A video visit may also be appropriate for post-surgical follow-up, prescription refills, and management of chronic medical problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and behavioral health issues such as depression and anxiety.
If you are uncertain if your symptoms are appropriate for a virtual visit, check with your provider’s office.
Virtual visits have the same insurance coverage as in-person appointments. Your copay is generally the same and your deductible still applies. Please contact your provider for more information about cost and insurance coverage.
